WPDesk Flexible Subscriptions Payment Retry GPL Overview

Plugin for Flexible Subscriptions, which allows creating rules for payment retries/attempts after a failed payment.

After installing and activating the plugin, go to Flexible Subscriptions → Settings → Payment Retry tab.

Enabled – Check the box to enable payment retry rules.
Enable for manual payments – Check to enable applying of the following rules to manually paid orders like cash on delivery or bank to bank transfer. The rules will be applied to the emails and not to payment retries.Subscription status when expired – Select the status that the subscription will receive once the payment deadline has passed. There are options to choose from:

• Active
• OnHold

Recurring payment model – At the top part of the form, you can choose a pre-defined payment model, modelled on the Netflix and YouTube subscription systems.

Configure the payment renewal rules by filling in each of them form fields:

Retry payment after – Select after how many hours or days after the last payment attempt, the payment should be retried.
Set subscription status to – Select the status to be set on the subscription if the re-payment fails.
Send email to admin – Enable email and select the email template to be sent to the administrator with the payment renewal information.
Send email to customer – Enable email and select the email template to be sent to the customer with the payment renewal information.

The plugin comes with two built-in email templates for user and admin. It’s possible to add new templates in WooCommerce → Settings → Emails by copying the files to the current theme when editing each template.

You may copy the file and customise the template. Then, change its name and save a new file. The plugin will recognise the new email template in the plugin settings.
